The Museum will be launching an exciting new event in October, the Cider and Song Festival. As we count down till the start of the event we’ll have blogs featuring a spotlight on some of the activities we’ll have featured. This week our blog features Simon Doyle from SO Cider who will be running the Cider Tasting Sessions on Friday 19th October.
Cider Tasting Sessions
Simon Doyle is an award winning small scale cider maker with a knowledge and passion for traditional and heritage orchards, apples and cider making methods. His company SO Cider is helping bring back availability of traditional style East Anglian cider back to the region.
Cider Tasting sessions are bookable for Friday 19 October, for just £15 per person. The session includes a flight of cider sampled under Simon’s tutelage, a selection of smoked meats from Smokey Jones (or a Vegetarian/Vegan option from Cabbages and Kings) as well as your entry to the evening.
Simon will take you on a journey through different cider making methods, tasting the outcome for a great overview some of the main different styles of cider from East Anglia and other regions.
Book now, spaces are limited to just 25 people per session. Sessions will run at 6.oopm, 6.30pm and 7.45pm
