An attractive medieval trackway leading down to the Rattlesden River, Crowe Lane is thought to be the old road from Ipswich to Bury St Edmunds. Dated using the Hooper Method in which 100 years for every species in the hedgerow it is thought to be 700 years old. The lane has a knapped flint surface.
