Stowmarket Christmas Tree Festival at the Museum
24 Nov 2018 - 23 Dec 2018
Stowmarket Christmas Tree Festival is the biggest of its kind in Britain with over 330 trees and 30,000 visitors. The Museum is pleased to be a partner in the event alongside St Peter & St Mary’s Church
Much like children awaiting Christmas Eve, we love the excitement of opening the doors of Abbot’s Hall and inviting visitors in to see a host of beautiful trees dotted around the house – decorated by members of our local community!
The theme this year is ‘Festive Food,’ as the museum looks forward to 2019 and the opening of the Heritage Farm as a centre for conservation and education about our rural heritage, our food, and where it comes from.
The trees can be viewed Tuesday – Sunday from Saturday 24 November to Sunday 23rd December. Entry is free, although donations are welcome, and the museum café is open for refreshments from Tuesday – Saturday.
Families can also book a visit to Santa in Abbot’s Hall throughout December with sessions on Saturdays and Sundays.
