The Osier: Food & Drink

The museum cafe re-opened on 20th March 2011 after a major refit

Renamed the Osier after the willow stalks grown at the museum site and used in basketry, the cafe is under new ownership.

Fantastic food is available inside or you can eat outside on tables in Home Close. The Osier specialises in home cooked locally-sourced produce, and a weekly changing menu.

An example specials menu might be:

  • Goats cheese and caramelized onion tart.
  • Homemade beef stew and crusty bread .
  • Homemade fish pie
  • Homemade chilli and nachos.
  • Suffolk ham, egg and home cut chips

There is regular menu of sandwiches, rolls, jacket potatoes, with various fillings and home-made soup.

In addition there’s a full children’s menu with tasty offerings such as beans on toast, sausage and chips and soups.

The cakes are exceptional!

Come along for a full meal or just a coffee and slice of cake. The Osier is also open to non-museum patron.
